The services of a notary public are needed in many situations, primarily when dealing with overseas matters.

One of our solicitors operates her notarial practice from our offices, undertaking work for private individuals and companies.

Her services cover:

  • authenticating documents for use abroad
  • attesting the execution of documents
  • preparing notarial certificates, powers of attorney, declarations, affidavits and other documents
  • verification of translations of documents (via translator) and arranging translations
  • taking affidavits, declarations and acknowledgements
  • legalisation/apostille services

You must provide two forms of identification:

1. evidence of name e.g. passport or full driver’s licence
    (with photograph); and

2. evidence of address e.g. utility or council tax bill

For company matters you must produce authority (i.e. Board minutes) to sign documents.

An out-of-office service is available.
